THE ROLE
You will lead a team of Process R&D scientists during the development of manufacturing processes for nanomedicines. This entails, in close collaboration with our clients, the development of scalable, robust, and GMP-compliant procedures for the preparation of nanomedicines. You will form the core project team together with the Project Manager, Analytical Lead and Quality Assurance.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be line manager to a team of Process R&D Nanomedicine scientists
Compliance to (company) regulations, procedures and (inter)national standards with regards to safety, product quality, order and tidiness
You will design and coordinate lab experiments, for the development and scale up of processes towards (GMP) manufacturing of nanomedicines
You will be involved in the preparation and execution of (GMP) manufacturing of nanomedicines, in close collaboration with colleagues from Production
You will maintain customer contact to update on the status and progress of projects, either verbally or in writing
Working closely with colleagues from Project Management, Production, Analytical Sciences and Quality Assurance
You take up responsibility to run a smooth lab e.g. the management of your teams lab space, equipment and materials
You will keep yourself up to date with the latest (nanomedicine) developments and insights
You will report to the Director Process R&D and Manufacturing
YOUR PROFILE LOOKS LIKE/ RESEMBLES
You have a PhD degree in chemistry, organic life sciences or equivalent and extensive knowledge of (the preparation of) nanoparticles/nanomedicines
You have experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specialized in process development towards cGMP manufacturing
Leadership experience is an added value
You feel comfortable in a dynamic and changing environment
You like to learn and develop yourself and your team
You have good coaching skills
You are flexible and pragmatic, a problem solver, pro-active, a team player and able to work under pressure
You have an analytical mindset, and you are stress resistant
You have good communication skills and are fluent in both Dutch & English (written as well as spoken)
