We are looking for a Customer Service Officer to strengthen our team in Oss. In this role, you will process orders, prepare correspondence and fulfill customer needs within a dynamic logistics environment. In this position, you will report to the Business Support Manager. This role is being offered on a part-time basis for 24 hours per week.
Tasks & responsibilities
- You are the first point of contact for customer questions — by phone, e-mail or face-to-face — and ensure that every interaction is positive
- You investigate and resolve issues carefully and efficiently, ensuring that customers feel heard and helped
- You keep accurate records of customer contacts, so that we can continuously improve our services
- You use your own initiative to handle standard questions and know when to escalate more complex matters
- You will prepare clear and helpful documentation when customers need written support or follow-up
- You will work with managers and colleagues to suggest improvements and optimize the customer experience
- You prepare invoices for the VAL work, based on the information from the various departments
- You check and correct the hours of the employees in the warehouse
- You promote safety by following GXO's health and safety standards and contributing to a safe work environment
- You will support sustainability initiatives by reducing our carbon footprint and participating in green projects
- You drive continuous improvement by working according to legal guidelines and GXO's commitment to quality
Skills & profile required
- Minimum MBO education in logistics, supply chain management or a similar field
- Knowledge of customer service processes within a logistics environment is required
- Strong communication skills, both towards customers and internally
- Excellent oral and written command of English and Dutch essential
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for data management, reporting, and day-to-day customer service operations
- You are communicative, a team player, accurate and stress-resistant
